FAQ's / After

I hear a low-pitched sound that sounds like humming or like the tv has been left on somewhere. I cannot hear it outside and it sounds like it may be coming up from the ground!

It’s Black Drum mating season! These fish emit a low frequency vibrating sound that travels long distances through our canals and seawalls. Click below to find out more

I have a ManaBloc and I want to shut off water to one of my bathrooms. Can I do it and how?

It’s easy! Your access panel is most likely in your garage.
Open the panel. You will see a manifold with red tubes on one side and blue on the other and a red plastic key at the top. Each tube should be clearly labeled.
Grab the key and use it to turn the knobs on the hot and cold side to your corresponding bathroom fixture and your water should be shut off!
Test the item you are trying to turn off first and then continue with your project!

I have received flyers or phone calls from companies claiming that I need to have my air conditioning ducts cleaned and they can do it for a lower price than my normal A/C company. Should I use one of these companies?

Please be very cautious! Use a reputable company to clean your air conditioning ducts. We recommend using the company that installed your air conditioning system. We have received many phone calls over the years from customers who used an unfamiliar company to clean their ducts and they are almost always told that the company has found a serious problem with your air conditioning that will take thousands of dollars to fix. This is usually untrue. If you are told that there is a problem with your air conditioning system then please get a second opinion from a company that you know and trust.

How often should I clean my A/C vents and where are they located?

This depends on what air conditioning system you have and which filters your system uses. Please call your air conditioning company and they will walk you through this.

My dock lights or boat lift does not turn on!

There is a cut off switch that runs to your dock and lift from the side of your house. You may never have noticed it! It is usually located on the same side of the house as the dock. If it has been tripped then all you have to do is flip the switch to the on position and your dock and lift should have power again!

The mysterious drumbeat along our canals

Dum-dum. Dum-dum.

The sounds begin around dusk each day.

Ken and Beverly Robinson had no idea what it was. At first, they thought it may be coming from cars equipped with those big bass speakers.
